Green, Dwight H. (Dwight Herbert), 1897-1958
Republican governor of Illinois from 1941-1949, who had served as special assistant to the United States District Attorney for the Northern District and had successfully prosecuted several notorious gangsters, including Al Capone, prior to entering politics.
