Phoenix Assurance
The Phoenix Assurance Company Ltd. of London, England insured property in Savannah and Augusta, Georgia in the 1800s. Phoenix agent, Jenkin Jones toured Georgia properties in 1808 and 1809. A second tour by a company agent was conducted in 1846.
