Born May 16, 1909 in Seymour (now St. Martin), Mississippi to Vaneaton Francis Seymour and Ada Anna Richards Seymour; graduate Biloxi High School (1928); teaching certificate, State Teachers College (1930); taught school primarily in the Biloxi area for 44 years; married Charles Foster in 1942; died February 26, 1993.
