Student Involvement seeks to "enhance student learning and student succes through co-curricular involvement" and provides support services to organizations funded by student fee funds. Among the services offered are assistance with event planning, space for meetings, publicity, and leadership development. The Student Activities Center was housed in the Memorial Union in the early 1970s, moved to the new Memorial Union East in the late 1970s, and became known as Student Involvement in the late 1990s.
