Wisconsin. Board of Commissioners of Public Lands

Under Article X, Section 7 of the Wisconsin Constitution, the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands was created. Members of the board include the attorney general (WIHV85-A1887), the secretary of state (WIHV85-A527), and the state treasurer (WIHV87-A621). The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands accepts lands granted to Wisconsin by the federal government, sells these lands, invests the proceeds for the benefit of public schools, universities, and libraries, and supervises the Division of Trust Lands and Investments (WIHV91-A888).
