Doty, Russell L.

Russell Leigh Doty, Jr. was born ca1942 in Great Falls to Russelll Leigh Doty, Sr. The senior Doty was born in 1912, shortly after his parents moved to Great Falls, Montana, from Sauk Centre, Minnesota. He worked for the WPA until he gained employment with Mountain Bell as a janitor; he worked his way up to supervising service forman. He retired in 1975, and died in 1990.

Russell Doty, Jr. was educated in Great Falls through the high school level. He graduated from the University of Oregon Law School, and returned to Montana. He worked as a lawyer for the State Deparment of Public Regulation in the 1970s. At the time of donation Russell Doty, Jr. lived in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
