Kuhn, Effie Georgine, 1891-1978
Educator and author Effie Georgine Kuhn, an administrator with the State Teachers College of Trenton, N.J. in the 1940s, was the instigator of the school's effort to stage the American premiere of the historical play CORONA DE SOMBRA (CROWN OF SHADOWS) This play concerned the ill-fated 19th century Emperor Maximilian and his Empress Carlota, and was written by Mexican playwright Rodolfo Usigli (1905-1979), with whom Kuhn corresponded.
