West, Emily, 1981-

West grew up in American Fork, Utah. After graduating from high school, she moved to Virginia to attend Southern Virginia College, where she had her first experience living with roommates. Shortly after returning to Utah, she began preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but instead married David West in August 2003. West studied history education at Brigham Young University.
