National Republican Club
Humphrey was apparently a student at Berea College from 1867 to 1871 and later resided in New York City. He was president of the Columbia Salvage Company through 1923, but the papers predominantly relate to his political interests. In addition to being an active member of the National Republican Club, of which he was one of the original incorporators, Humphrey was secretary of the Republican National League (1887 - 1892), secretary of the Sulgrave Institute of the United States (1922), a member of the board of directors of the China Society of America, and a member of the American Peace and Arbitration League.
From the description of 1890-ca. 1930. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 191915694
