Burden, Steele, 1900-1995,
Steele Burden worked for the city of Baton Rouge and LSU initially as a gardener and later as a landscape architect. He played a pivotal role in the founding and development of the LSU Rural Life History Museum at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, La., by donating the museum's site, Windrush Plantation, his family's home.
