Fairbanks family.
Joseph Fairbanks was born November 1, 1763 in Brimfield, Massachusetts, son of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Dearth Fairbanks. He married Phebe Paddocks on October 21, 1790. They had three children: Erastus, Thaddeus and Joseph Paddock. In 1815 he moved to Saint Johnsbury, Vermont and built a sawmill and gristmill. He died September 27, 1853.
