Cohn, Kaspare, 1839-1916
Kaspare Cohn was a banker and philanthropist. In 1914, he founded the Kaspare Cohn Commercial & Savings Bank in Los Angeles, which later, in 1918, changed its name to the Union Bank & Trust Company. He was also the founder and first president of the Kaspare Cohn Hospital, in Los Angeles, Calif., which is now known as Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
