Titz, Friedrich Daniel.

Friedrich Daniel Titz was the son of Johann Peter Titz, a professor of ancient languages, poetry, and rhetoric at Danzig. Johann Titz also wrote occasional poetry in Latin and German and was a member of Simon Dach's circle. Friedrich Titz studied at the Gymnasium in Danzig where his father taught. He began a study tour in 1679 which took him to other universities in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, England and France. He returned to Danzig in 1684.
