Country music performer. Born September 13, 1912. Real name: Jesse Claude Casey. Career active late 1930s-1950s. One of several artists to come from the Charlotte area. Radio, stage, television, and movie performer. Formed the Pine Street Playboys, late 1930s. Recorded for RCA Victor, late 1930s-early 1940s. Recorded for MGM, 1946-1953.
