Robinson, Elizabeth Donoway, 1882-1961
Members of the Donaghy family came to Vermont, Iowa, and Utah from Ireland during the 19th century. It appears that at least the Vermont branch changed the spelling of the name to Donoway. Elizabeth (Donoway) Robinson was born in Vergennes, Vt., attended school there, and taught school in the area. She married Rowland T. Robinson in 1907 and they lived at Rokeby with his mother while he operated the farm. After Rowland's death in 1951, Elizabeth replaced him as Ferrisburgh town clerk. She continued to live at Rokeby with her sisters, Rose and Kate Donoway until her death in 1961.
From the description of Elizabeth Naughton Donoway Robinson family letters, 1833-1961. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 714609816
