Radford University. Board of Visitors.

The forerunner of the Radford University Board of Visitors was the Board of Trustees established by the Virginia legislature to oversee the activities of the State Normal and Industrial School for Women. Subsequent to the original Board of Trustees, the school's operations were supervised by the Virginia Normal School Board (1915-1924), the Board of the State Teachers Colleges (1925-1939), the State Board of Education (1940-1944), the Board of Visitors of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute (1945-1964), the Board of Visitors of Radford College (1965-1978) and the Board of Visitors of Radford University (1979- ).
