Edge, Rosalie, 1877-1962
Edge was born Nov. 3, 1877, in New York City, and attended Wagner College. She was active in the women's suffrage movement and conservation issues. She advocated for change in the leadership of the National Audubon Society. In 1929, Edge created the Emergency Conservation Committee. She also organized the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association, and campaigned for waterfowl hunting laws and regulations. She died Nov. 30, 1962.
