Welles, Benjamin, 1916-2002
Benjamin Welles (1916-2002) was the son of Sumner Welles, a diplomat and Under Secretary of State. Benjamin Welles was an author and journalist for the New York Times, serving as a foreign correspondent in China, London, and Madrid. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and served with the Office of Strategic Services.
