Michell, Nicholas, 1807-1880
In 1877 the Cornish poet, Nicholas Michell sent "London in light and darkness" to Frederick Warne and Co. with correspondence indicating his desire to assign the copyright for the book to Warne, and for Warne to publish a new illustrated edition of his works, with added material. The title would become "Nature and life."
