Billy Graham Center

Center for research and training in evangelism; Billy Graham Evangelistic Association committee formed to gather historical materials related to Graham and the BGEA, 1970; concept developed into an institution consisting of 1) an archives, library, and a museum, all emphasizing the history of evangelism, particularly Graham's ministry and 2) institutes to provide leadership and training in evangelism; selected Wheaton College as the site for the center, 1974; dedicated in September 1980 when it was made a gift to Wheaton College; mission statement, "To stimulate global evangelism by: Thinking the mission, training the evangelist, telling the story, and teaming with the worldwide church."
