Brownell, Baker, 1887-1965
Newspaperman, lecturer, writer. Professor of Journalism (1921-25), Contemporary Thought (1925-47), Philosophy (1947-53), at Northwestern University, where he pioneered an interdisciplinary course in contemporary thought. The guest speakers for this course included many prominent figures of the day, from Jane Addams to Frank Lloyd Wright.
