Cattle Sanitary Board of New Mexico.
The Cattle Sanitary Board was constituted by law on March 19, 1887, to perform purely sanitary functions (i.e. inspection for disease). By 1889 its responsibility had been widened to include registration and inspection of cattle brands and earmarks.
