The company, incorporated in 1900, purchased (1905) and operated two large steamships on the Pacific Ocean, carrying cargo and passengers between ports in Washington and the Orient, primarily Japan. One ship, the Dakota, was wrecked on the Japanese coast in 1907. The remaining ship, the Minnesota, was sold in 1917 and the company ceased doing active business. It was dissolved in 1927.
