Alexander, Cecil

Cecil A. Alexander, Jr., was born on March 14, 1918. He ws the grandson of Julius M. Alexander (MSS 442), the nephew of Henry A. Alexander (MSS 476), and the son of Cecil A. Alexander (MSS 24). After graduating from Yale University, he married Hermione Weil and fought in World War II. After the war he became a successful architect in Atlanta. He was also involved in urban renewal and the civil rights movement, while his wife was involved in the Fulton County Grand Jury. After his wife's death in 1983, he remarried and uses his influence to fight against drunk driving.
