Squires, James D., 1943-
James D. Squires (born 1943) has been a journalist, editor, author and political adviser. He graduated from George Peabody College for Teachers in 1966 and began his journalism career at the Nashville Tennesseean; he also worked for the Sentinel star in Orlando, Fla., and the Chicago Tribune. He taught courses at Harvard University in 1990 and at Middle Tennessee State University in 1992. He now breeds thoroughbred horses, including 2001 Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos, at his farm in Kentucky.
