Alaska. Dept. of Economic Development and Planning.
The Dept. of Economic Development and Planning was responsible for promoting economic, industrial, and tourism development in the state. The dept. worked cooperatively with federal, state and local agencies to promote investment in the state, and provided economic data needed to attract capital investment. In 1966, the planning component of the dept. was transferred to the Office of the Governor.
