Zabolot︠s︡kiĭ, N. (Nikolaĭ), 1903-1958
Nikolay Zabolotsky (Николай Алексеевич Заболоцкий) was a Russian poet, writer and translator who was born in Kazan in 1903. He was one of the founders of the avant garde group OBERIU in 1928 and suffered under Stalin's purges during the 1930s spending five years in Siberia.
