Goodman, Sylvia Mina, 1899-1979.
Sylvia Goodman was a founder and secretary of the Woollies Appeal during the Second World War. She was also a Life Member of the Richmond Creche and Kindergarten Association, and a member of the Victorian Association of Day Nurseries (of which she was a representative in the Victorian Branch of the Australian Pre-School Association). She also served as a delegate to the Federal Meetings and Conferences of the Australian Pre-School Association. She was a member and delegate to the National Council of Women, and a member of the International Council of Women. She served on the O.M.E.P. Sub-Committee of the A.P.A. from its inception in 1961 until her death, and she represented Australia at it's London Assembly in 1962. She supported many other educational and welfare organisations during her life, as did her husband Mr Harry Goodman.
