Incorporated in Alabama in 1881 to build a railroad across the state of Alabama, running through Elyton or Birmingham; consolidated in 1882 with Columbus, Fayette, and Decatur Railroad Company and Elyton and Aberdeen Railroad Company to form Georgia Pacific Railway Company.
