Winston, George, 1926-
Missionary, educator; born to missionary parents in Belgium, 1926; graduated from Wheaton College, 1948; received Th. M. degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, 1952; began missionary work as a church planter in Belgium with Belgian Gospel Mission, 1952; married Dora De Looper, 1954; later served as mission administrator and Belgian Bible Institute (BBI) administrator and teacher; established Theological Education by Extension program, 1970; joined Greater Europe Mission (GEM) as a result of an organizational merger, 1972; oversaw upgrading of BBI program to graduate and seminary level; resigned from BBI to resume full-time church planting efforts in Brussels, 1985; resigned from GEM while continuing to work independently in Brussels, 1989; named president of newly opened bi-lingual Bible Seminary of Brussels, 1990; had six children.
