Alvah Johnson (1839-1914) was born in Justus, PA the son of Franklin Johnson (1803-1869, born in R.I. and died in PA) and Julia Ann White. Franklin's father (Olney Johnson) and grandfather (Benjamin Johnson) are also indicated, but this document is predominantly the descendants of Alvah's children. Alvah was married three times: Lydia Brown ( - 1876) the daughter of James Brown and Lydia Kilmer; Eliza Woodward (1855 - 1879) the daughter of Milton G. Woodward and Sarah Ann Smith; and Mary Louise Phillips (1855-1941) the daughter of Davis Nathaniel Phillips and Sarah Fike. Children of Alvah and Lydia include: Alden Grant Johnson (1866 - ), Freeman Johnson (1869- ), Alvah Johnson (1871- ), Lydia May Johnson (1874-1876), and Walter A. Johnson (1875- ). Child of Alvah and Eliza: Elida Johnson (1879- ). Children of Alvah and Mary include: Charles Henry Johnson (1881- ), George Warren Johnson (1887- ), Perry Davis Johnson (1891- ), and Harry Milton Johnson (1893- ). Alvah died on his farm in Lenoxville, PA.
