Shawl, Louis.
Louis Shawl (1905-1998) was a graphic designer who attended and taught at California College of Arts and Crafts. He was a partner in the design team Shawl, Nyeland and Seavey, served as manager of the Graphic Communications unit of Walter Landor Associates, and was a member of the San Francisco Advertising Club and the Art Directors and Artists Club of San Francisco. Shawl was also an amateur photographer, known to have befriended and studied under Johan Hagemeyer.
