Defenbacher, D. S. (Daniel S.), 1906-1986
Director, Walker Art Center (1940-1951); from 1935-1939 worked for Federal Art Project, setting up over 70 community art centers; after his tenure at Walker, became director of Fort Worth Museum of Art and later president of California College of Arts and Crafts.
