Laughter Funeral Home (Abilene, Tex.)
Dan T. Laughter came to Abilene, Texas, in 1900 and began working for Abilene Furniture Company, which also sold caskets. In 1905 he began operating his Laughter Funeral Home alone until 1945, when Russell M. North became his partner. In 1948, North bought out Laughter's interest and the name became North Funeral Home.
