Robinson, Arthur, 1942-

Arthur Robinson was an undergraduate at Cal Tech when Linus Pauling was on the Cal Tech faculty. Robinson subsequently earned a Ph. D. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and eventually took a position in the chemistry department at UCSD. In 1972 Robinson resigned from his UCSD position and Pauling from his faculty position at Stanford University, both to found the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine located in Menlo Park, Calif.
