Zweig, Stefan, 1881-1942
Austrian writer Stefan Zweig was one of the most prolific and popular European authors in the years before World War II. He wrote plays, poetry, and fiction, but his most popular works were highly fictionalized biographies of well-known historical figures. His central themes were nostalgia and humanism.
