MacPherson, David Hicks, 1928-
David Hicks MacPherson ( 1928 -) was born in Boston, Massachusetts . He received a BA from Tufts University in 1950 and an STB from the Crane Theological School in 1952 . He also attended Harvard Divinity School while preparing for the ministry. He was ordained a Universalist minister in 1952 and served pastorates in Foxborough, Massachusetts ( 1950-1951 ); Silver Spring, Maryland ( 1952-1962 ); Lutherville, Maryland ( 1962-1975 ); Richmond, Virginia ( 1975-1987 ), where he was named minister emeritus in 1998 ; Brookfield, Wisconsin ( 1987-1993 ); and Waynesboro, Virginia ( 1993-1996 ). MacPherson was also the recipient of the Clarence R. Skinner Award in 1961 .
