Lentz, Robert W.
Robert W. Lentz; civil rights lawyer; admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1959, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania in 1970, the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980 and the U.S. Tax Court; received his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania (J.D., 1958); worked with the Council of Federated Organizations (COFO) in Mississippi; for two weeks in the summer of 1964, Lentz served as a lawyer to aid volunteers who were jailed in Mississippi for their civil rights efforts; Lentz returned to Mississippi in November 1966 to help with voter rights in the general election.
