Arndt, H. W. (Heinz Wolfgang), 1915-2002

An economist whose academic career included 29 years at the Australian National University, where he was Professor of Economics from 1963 until 1980. Arndt was the author of many publications, was a member of the Governing Council of the United Nations Asian Institute for Economic Development and Planning and was a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia.
