Rotival, Maurice Emile Henri.
Maurice Emile Henri Rotival, born in 1892, was one of the founders of city and regional planning. He was a graduate of L'Ecole Central in Paris. He developed major renewal plans for Algiers, Madagascar, Caracas, Reims, and New Haven, Connecticut. He also founded the faculty for city planning at the Yale University School of Fine Arts and taught at Yale in various capacities in the 1940s and 1950s. He died in Paris in February, 1980.
