Church of Christ in Bedford, Mass., founded 1730; in 1833 split to form First Parish, Unitarian and Trinitarian Congregational Society in Bedford; building retained by the Unitarians, the Congregationalists building new one in different location; in 1920 Trinitarian Congregational Society renamed Church of Christ in Bedford; in 1962 reorganized as The First Church of Christ, Congregational in Bedford, affiliated with UCC; also known as First Church.
