Hale family.
The Hale family were early town settlers in central Pennsylvania. In 1852, Reuben C. Hale and his brothers James T., Elias W., and John M. purchased 60,000 acres near Philipsburg and operated the lumber and coal company, Morgan, Hale and Company. The Mull family was involved in banking in Philipsburg.
