The Bovee University Center was named for Norval C. Bovee (1917-1970). As Vice President of Business and Finance for CMU, 1956-1970, he was responsible for preparing and controlling CMU's budget. Bovee earned degrees from Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan. He was active in many local area organizations. Bovee was survived by his wife and two children.
