Wilcox, Wendell
Born in Hong Kong in 1927, Wendell Wilcox lived in the United States, China, and the Philippines as a child. At the start of World War II, Wilcox resided in the city of Manila with his mother, father, and grandmother. In July 1944, he and his father were detained in a Japanese prison camp in Los BaƱos. They were rescued by American paratroopers in February 1945.
