San Francisco (Calif.). Office of the Mayor
Edward Robeson Taylor was a lawyer, physician, poet, dean of Hastings Law School, and mayor of San Francisco, Calif. from 1907-1910. McCarthy succeeded Taylor as mayor in 1910.
