The Office of Finance and Accounting of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia was created in 1971 with the hiring of the first Comptroller. In 1991, the office was renamed the Office of Finance and Accounting and the Comptroller became the Director of Finance and Accounting. This is currently [1994] an active office.

The Office of Finance and Accounting is responsible for all accounting and financial record keeping, budget preparation, investments, human resources administration, systems management, and receipt and disbursal of all funds.
