Ethnic Dance Festival.
Organized under the auspices of the Hotel Tax Fund in 1978, the Ethnic Dance Festival is designed to provide performance opportunities for ethnic dancers in the Bay Area and to increase public appreciation of ethnic dance forms.
The festival has grown from three concerts at a local community center to an annual seven-day event at the Palace of the Fine Arts in San Francisco.
