Griggins, Suzanne.
Attorney; born Suzanne Elizabeth Griggins; graduated from St. Norberts College, 1968; completed M.A. in political science at Columbia University, 1972; worked in New York City prison as part of VISTA program; served among community groups and in adult education program in Harlem; graduated from law school at University of Wisconsin, 1977; worked as lawyer for Legal Service Program (federal service providing legal assistance in non-criminal proceedings to those unable to afford them), 1974- ; administered opening and operation of new Legal Service Program offices in Mendenhall, Mississippi, 1977; converted while working in Mendenhall, 1981; Legal Services Program funding was cut and The Mendenhall Ministries made provisions to continue legal aid offices under Griggin's supervision, 1981.
