Melich, Mitchell, 1912-1999.
Melich was active with the Republican Party and served in several public offices in Utah. In 1964 he ran as the Republican candidate for governor but was defeated by Cal Rampton. He was President of Uranium Reduction Company. From 1969 to 1973 he served as Solicitor of the U.S. Dept. of the Interior.
