Wormley, Theodore G. (Theodore George), 1826-1897

Wormley received his M.D. from the Philadelphia College of Medicine in 1849 and soon established himself in Columbus, Ohio. He was named professor of chemistry and natural science, the Capital University of Columbus, in 1852, and in 1854, he was named professor of chemistry and toxicology, Starling Medical College. Among his friends in Columbus was William S. Sullivant, botanist. Wormley was named professor of chemistry of the Medical Department, University of Pennsylvania, in 1877.
